The Beatles

Poem By: John Sanchez

Lennon and McCartney
created quite a party.
Harrison and Ringo,
they also knew the lingo.

Love is the Word,
they finally heard.
They spread by example,
for within they had ample.

Funny and sincere,
with them, we lost our fear.
Be ourselves, you and me.
And our sorrow, Let it Be.

It’s getting better
all the time.
Magical Mystery
spinning rhyme.

And when they got older
losing their hair,
the scope of their impact
still can’t compare.

John he was snuffed
Imagine….that.
He cried for Help,
by Buddha he sat.

And George he was Something,
you agree, was he not?
Here Comes the Sun,
his guitar was hot.

Ringo was solid,
best drummer we’ve seen.
you’ll catch him aboard
a Yellow Submarine.

And Paul he was laid
by the chimney with care.
28 if,
Uncle Albert was there.

I can’t say enough
bout this Liverpool group.
Their presence is heartening,
like a good bowl of soup.

So thank you Fab Four,
for the love you did make.
And in the end,
that love you will take.
